I bought this as my ankle was very swollen for years and I had alot of pain to the point I could not walk on it when I got up or if I was on it too long. My Doctor gave me orthodics to keep my foot straight but said the only way to relieve the pain and swelling is surgery. I bought this brace wore in the day and night non stop for 3 weeks (except in the shower) The swelling disappeared and I have no pain. The doctor asked what I did and couldnt believe it but didnt want to hear it as it did not put money in his pocket. Now I wear it just if I need to when the weather changes I have a little pain so I put it on and it goes away. I would recommend this to anyone that has pain or swelling in the ankle or foot.
